OpenAthena Core Exits Beta

OpenAthena™ Desktop and OpenAthena™ Desktop and OpenAthena™ Core v1.0.2 are now released and available to our select partners and end users.

v1.0.2 introduces several significant new features including:

  • Direct support for MISB-format drone video telemetry metadata
  • Ability to process a higher volume of requests concurrently with multiple CPU threads and no stalls during terrain data download operations
  • New ability to pre-download terrain data for large regions at once for later offline operation

The OpenAthena developer API hosted at https://api.openathena.com has also been updated with this latest release of OpenAthena Core.

This marks a significant milestone for Theta as the first published v1.0 release of OpenAthena Core and Desktop. After over 6 years of research and development efforts, the OpenAthena software for sUAS (drone) remote sensing has reached sufficient stability and technological maturity to officially exit its status as a Beta.

We are now providing the OpenAthena Core software module to our select drone OEM, software platform, and research partners. It is designed to enable direct integration of its terrain-raycast sensing capability into your company’s own hardware & software products.
